SPOTLIGHT ON: IFEOMA AMADI

I met Ifeoma at a bloggers event sometime last year, we got talking and I later took my time to go through her page @thesvnflwr I knew I had to follow her… Her personality, care free, simple but classy lifestyle on a budget of course got me glued and she quickly became one of my favourites, if you don’t know her you should totally check her out after this…

I got her on my Nail Chair and we had a great chat over manicure about nails, life as a student, being an awesome content creator and she gave life lessons she lives by that everyone should too!

Ifeoma has been a lover of art and a jack of all trade since she could remember which has led her into Fashion and Lifestyle blogging, content creating and social media management for brands. She’s also a student of the University of Lagos studying Chemistry. Even though Ifeoma can be found in the Chemistry lab, content creating is her favourite thing to do and she would love to do it forever.

SARAHJAMES- IS THERE AN OCCASION WHERE YOU NOTICE YOUR NAILS THE MOST?

THESVNFLWR- My nails are definitely part of my outfit so when I want to shoot for the blog I always like my nails done.

SARAHJAMES- DO YOU HAVE ANY MEMORIES OF GETTING YOUR NAILS DONE?

THESVNFLWR- The first time I got a gel manicure it felt so cool and exciting, I felt like a ‘big girl’.

SARAHJAMES- DO YOU HAVE ANY SENTIMENTAL ATTACHMENT TO YOUR NAILS OR A COLOR?

THESVNFLWR- Absolutely! It was love at first sight for me with the color green, I will wear any shade of green without hesitating.

SARAHJAMES- HOW DOES YOUR GO-TO MANICURE COLOR MAKE YOU FEEL?

THESVNFLWR- Subtle, comfortable in my own skin but noticeable and makes a statement.

SARAHJAMES- HOW HAVE YOU BEEN ABLE TO MANAGE STUDENT LIFE AND CONTENT CREATING?

THESVNFLWR- Even though my school schedule has been quite flexible sometimes I have to prioritize which is more important at that moment and most times blogging wins.

SARAHJAMES- WHAT HAS MOTIVATED YOU TO STAY CONSISTENT?

THESVNFLWR- Blogging was the only avenue I found when I started 2 years ago to express myself creatively and let out all my ideas and I genuinely like and enjoy what I do, that is what has made me consistent and why I still blog till now.

SARAHJAMES- ONE OF YOUR MAJOR CHALLENGES AS A CONTENT CREATOR IN NIGERIA.

THESVNFLWR- Majority of Nigerians are still not very familiar with content creating so they make it quite difficult for a creative to be free to create content spontaneously with location restrictions and other unforeseen circumstances that could arise.

SARAHJAMES- WHAT IS YOUR GREATEST ACHIEVEMENT IN BLOGGING/CONTENT CREATING SO FAR?

THESVNFLWR- Been recognized by a global brand and creating content for them, that was huge for me.

SARAHJAMES- 3 LIFE QUOTES YOU LIVE BY?THESVNFLWR- In this generation where everyone is trying to figure out their purpose or in a haste to be successful, one quote that has helped me stay level headed is ‘it’s not how far but how well’. So instead of aiming at scoring a goal, I’m more focused on perfecting ways to score a goal which in turn automatically makes it easier to have a goal scored.
