BRIEF INFORMATION ABOUT THE BRAND EMILIO PUCCIIn 1947, Emilio designed a streamlined ski outfit for himself and his friends and was photographed by a fashion photographer who published it in Harper’s Bazaar USA which brought the fashion mogul to lime light.
“Emilio Pucci’s legacy continues to be a seminal force behind the birth of the “made in Italy” style and a milestone in Italy’s luxury sportswear concept”. The Emilio Pucci brand is renown for its signature prints, joyful color combinations and “made in Italy” luxury fashions. “Pucci was driven by the desire to liberate women granting them unprecedented freedom of movement. His designs featured sensual, free-flowing lines that followed the natural curves of the body. He has been a major influence in contemporary fashion even after his passing in 1992 and his daughter taking over. Wavy lines, summery colors, and metallic leather are the main features of Florence Bag.
This design was exciting to create because I had the exact shade of nail polishes in my collection. The details and the combination of the green metallic color with the shades of blue and white lines tapped at the corners makes this design very catchy and makes the bag attractive at its first glance.
Here are some other pictures from the collection that caught my attention.Clearly one of the goals of this collection is sensual, free-flowing lines that followed the natural curves of the body, dreamy, underwater blues and ray of bright lights which was very well captured.
Thank you for reading, I hope this has inspired you to step out of the box in search of inspiration.
I met Ifeoma at a bloggers event sometime last year, we got talking and I later took my time to go through her page @thesvnflwr I knew I had to follow her… Her personality, care free, simple but classy lifestyle on a budget of course got me glued and she quickly became one of my favourites, if you don’t know her you should totally check her out after this…
I got her on my Nail Chair and we had a great chat over manicure about nails, life as a student, being an awesome content creator and she gave life lessons she lives by that everyone should too!
Ifeoma has been a lover of art and a jack of all trade since she could remember which has led her into Fashion and Lifestyle blogging, content creating and social media management for brands. She’s also a student of the University of Lagos studying Chemistry. Even though Ifeoma can be found in the Chemistry lab, content creating is her favourite thing to do and she would love to do it forever.
SARAHJAMES- IS THERE AN OCCASION WHERE YOU NOTICE YOUR NAILS THE MOST?
THESVNFLWR- My nails are definitely part of my outfit so when I want to shoot for the blog I always like my nails done.
SARAHJAMES- DO YOU HAVE ANY MEMORIES OF GETTING YOUR NAILS DONE?
THESVNFLWR- The first time I got a gel manicure it felt so cool and exciting, I felt like a ‘big girl’.
SARAHJAMES- DO YOU HAVE ANY SENTIMENTAL ATTACHMENT TO YOUR NAILS OR A COLOR?
THESVNFLWR- Absolutely! It was love at first sight for me with the color green, I will wear any shade of green without hesitating.
SARAHJAMES- HOW DOES YOUR GO-TO MANICURE COLOR MAKE YOU FEEL?
THESVNFLWR- Subtle, comfortable in my own skin but noticeable and makes a statement.
SARAHJAMES- HOW HAVE YOU BEEN ABLE TO MANAGE STUDENT LIFE AND CONTENT CREATING?
THESVNFLWR- Even though my school schedule has been quite flexible sometimes I have to prioritize which is more important at that moment and most times blogging wins.
SARAHJAMES- WHAT HAS MOTIVATED YOU TO STAY CONSISTENT?
THESVNFLWR- Blogging was the only avenue I found when I started 2 years ago to express myself creatively and let out all my ideas and I genuinely like and enjoy what I do, that is what has made me consistent and why I still blog till now.
SARAHJAMES- ONE OF YOUR MAJOR CHALLENGES AS A CONTENT CREATOR IN NIGERIA.
THESVNFLWR- Majority of Nigerians are still not very familiar with content creating so they make it quite difficult for a creative to be free to create content spontaneously with location restrictions and other unforeseen circumstances that could arise.
SARAHJAMES- WHAT IS YOUR GREATEST ACHIEVEMENT IN BLOGGING/CONTENT CREATING SO FAR?
THESVNFLWR- Been recognized by a global brand and creating content for them, that was huge for me.
SARAHJAMES- 3 LIFE QUOTES YOU LIVE BY?THESVNFLWR- In this generation where everyone is trying to figure out their purpose or in a haste to be successful, one quote that has helped me stay level headed is ‘it’s not how far but how well’. So instead of aiming at scoring a goal, I’m more focused on perfecting ways to score a goal which in turn automatically makes it easier to have a goal scored.
No body is a ‘no one’.
Go big or go home, even with your dreams. A little about the Nails. My mood board before the Manicure and Chat session had a lot of leaves and beach tree vibes and coincidentally she came with a straw bag perfect for the beach and a flowery outfit to match and we were on some beach vibes!
I hope you enjoyed my chat with her as much I did, and you learnt one or two things. Thank you for reading.
I got to talk to Kehinde the manager and got some facts about Rele Gallery from her…
Rele Gallery is a female establishment, owned by Aderele Soneriwo with all female staff until that changed recently. The establishment is deliberate about empowering female artists.
Even though Rele was established in 2015 the establishment has made so much impact that it almost feels like they have been in the Art scene for longer with features and mentions from publications like Financial Times, LA Times, BBC, Guardian, Vogue etc.
ADE ‘RELE’ means the crown is coming home, home coming… so when you come to Rele Gallery you should feel at home, which makes sense because Rele exhibits works of Nigerian artists so you can feel at home and feel proud to be part of something great.
Rele gallery only exhibit Nigerian Artists, they believe in pushing for our own amazing talents here in Nigeria and Africa as a whole.
Rele represents visual artists… currently representing 5 artists, they scout for talents and look to represent and exhibit their works. Rele Gallery is currently representing Ayoola Gbolahan, Marcelina Akpojotor, Sejiro Avoseh, Dandelion and Habeeb Andu.

Hello lovelies! It feels good to be back writing and creating again on a new platform which I am really excited about and I hope you are too. I can’t wait for you to see all the new things I have coming starting with this inspired nail art…
I wasn’t on a search for inspiration when I found this account that has some of the brightest and cutest DIY décor items owned by Kara Whitten of www.akailochiclife.com . She designs and sells all kinds of items for DIYS, home décor, parties, holidays from wrapping paper, throw pillows, cocktail shakers and flower cases. I fell in love immediately and as I was scrolling down I found this Pastel Memphis Easter Eggs she had designed and they were 5 in number! She matched it with some plates from another awesome account, the arrangement had me in colour and design heaven! What do you think was going through my mind…? Recreating them on nails of course and here!
I hope Kara and I have inspired your creativity. Which of the fingers is your favourite design? I like the pinky and thumb art it reminds me of cake or ice cream sprinkles 😀 .Thank you for reading, see you in my next post.
