10 BIBLE SCRIPTURES THAT HAS MADE 2017 A JOYFUL YEAR

It is amazing how God chooses His timing and eventually you realize it is what’s best for you even when you thought you had it all figured out.

This year has been a very significant one for me because before now I have tried to control everything in my life like I actually can, Sigh!

First I am going to share the most important lesson the Holy Spirit has thought me that helps me live a happy life everyday, even in the hard times.

  TO WALK BY FAITH!

I know a lot of people will say “oh I have heard this before”, same here, I go to church, listen to sermons this is almost all I hear but the real question for me was; was I really walking by faith and how can truly walk by faith?

The simple answer God gave me was to “REST IN HIM” and “TRUST HIM COMPLETELY” the reason why we would say we trust and have faith in someone or something and still go secure other options and back up plans is because we aren’t 100% sure. Needless for me to say with God you have to be 100%.

I had to learn to drop EVERYTHING at God’s feet and cling to His unfailing promises in His word that I know would surely come to pass as the bible says in

Numbers 23:19 God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good’?  and gradually as God saw this He started to speak to me and show me in His word ways to live the life He truly wants for me in ease because I must tell you trying to walk with God in the ‘flesh’ is hard, almost impossible and also dangerous because the bible says in

Revelations 3:16 ‘So, because you are lukewarm, neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth’.

LET’S DIVE RIGHT INTO IT!

Luke 12: 25-28 (NLT)

25     Can all your worries add a single moment to your life?

26     And if worry can’t accomplish a little thing like that, what’s the use of worrying over bigger things?

27     “Look at the lilies and how they grow. They don’t work or make their clothing, yet Solomon in all his glory was not dressed as beautifully as they are.

28     And if God cares so wonderfully for flowers that are here today and thrown into the fire tomorrow, he will certainly care for you. Why do you have so little faith?

James 1: 2-3 (NLT)

2      Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles of any kind come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy.

3      For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow.

Psalm 91: 14-16 (NKJV)

14    “Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him on high, because he has known My name.

15      He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him;
I will be with him in trouble;
I will deliver him and honor him.

16      With long life I will satisfy him,
And show him My salvation.”

Isaiah 55: 8 (NKJV)

    “For My thoughts are not your thoughts,
Nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord.

Jeremiah 29: 11 (NKJV)

11      For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.

2 Corinthians 12: 9-10 (NLT)

8       Each time he said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me.

9      That’s why I take pleasure in my weaknesses, and in the insults, hardships, persecutions, and troubles that I suffer for Christ. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

Proverbs 3: 5-6 (NLT)

     Trust in the Lord with all your heart;
do not depend on your own understanding.

     Seek his will in all you do,
and he will show you which path to take.

Luke 10:19 (KJV)

19     Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

1 Chronicles 4 vs 10

10     And Jabez called on the God of Israel saying, “Oh, that You would bless me indeed, and enlarge my territory, that Your hand would be with me, and that You would keep me from evil, that I may not cause pain!” So God granted him what he requested.

 Psalm 16 vs 6 (NKJV)

     The lines have fallen to me in pleasant places;
Yes, I have a good inheritance.

There are many more scriptures that minister to me from time to time, I have just narrowed it down to some of the ones I have in my scripture book and I meditate on them every time with faith and assurance and I encourage you to get a scripture book and do same.

If you have any favorite scriptures, you can share in the comment section.

I pray this will minister and bless many in Jesus name,

Amen.

Happy New month.

SINGLE AND INTENTIONALLY WAITING

Congratulations on leaving the no status “status” gang lol! I hope you are as delighted as I am. Before we get into the second part if you haven’t read part one do so here https://sarahjamesnails.com/2017/10/12/there-is-no-relationship-status-called-in-between/

Let’s get right into it!

What does “INTENTIONALLY WAITING” mean?

This means choosing to be single deliberately, not because you don’t have ‘options’ but because you have decided to wait on God and not lean on your own understanding or personal judgement on your relationship. The Holy spirit gave me this title during my transition process and it fits perfectly because I decided to leave whoever I was with intentionally and hold on to God.

*inserts what my pastor says during Sunday sermon*

“Can we go deeper?” lol.

They say the truth is bitter but it has to be told regardless and just like you and I can agree that maybe God wasn’t entirely present in the “relationship” that we stayed in, and like the bible says in Revelations 3 vs 16 ‘So, because you are lukewarm, neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth’ and also in Galatians 6 vs 7 ‘Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap’.

I have learnt in my walk with God over the years that you cannot eat your cake and have it if you are, He’s just watching you waiting for you to come back and many Christians over time have chosen which aspect of their lives they want to give God and the one they want to blindly control but it can’t be for a long while if we want true success and blessings in every of our endeavours.

WHAT DO I DO IN THIS NEW PHASE OF MY LIFE?

When you hear the word ‘WAIT’ the dictionary meaning is to remain indisposed or inactive. The difference between this waiting and “internationally waiting” is that you are most active in this phase, it is also called the “PREPARATION OR MOULDING PHASE”.

The Holy spirit told me that He will only give ‘THE BEST’ (Me) to ‘HIS BEST’ (My Partner) so therefore this phase is where you become God’s best in every area of your life by totally surrendering to His will for your life.

Your prayer point from this point is that God should use me for His glory on earth.

One of my spiritual mentors told me the secret to God orchestrating a meeting for you and your partner; it is a prayer point and it goes like this; “Lord put me on the mind of my partner wherever he/she might be, and put he/she on my mind also, then orchestrate a meeting when you please God, Amen. You know what this prayer does, it puts you at rest that God is working on your behalf because no matter how much you stay in the face of the person you like only God can put genuine love in their heart towards you.

In this phase you have to be careful and pray for discerning spirit because the bible says in 1 peter 5 vs 8 Be sober, be vigilant, because your adversary the devil walketh about as a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. When you pray this prayer and someone comes to your mind don’t immediately go to the person let the Holy spirit do the work for you while you stay in the place of prayer because the devil is aware and he can easily send one of his servants to distract you from your walk with God so be spiritually conscious.

You might ask how I’m so sure that I wont be waiting forever, I am very sure because the bible says in Gen 2 vs 18; And the Lord God said, “It is not good that man should be alone; I will make him a helper comparable to him.” Furthermore, Numbers 23 vs 19  tells me that ‘God is not a man, that He should lie, Nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good’?

This is the assurance I have, the faith that keeps me going and I hope and pray this post blesses you beyond measures.

In Jesus name, Amen
