Hello lovelies!

As an Artist it is important to constantly search for inspiration or create your own.
For me patterns, prints, abstract artworks are some of my source of inspiration to name a few and from time to time I will be replicating some of my favorite artworks on nails.
I recently found Cassandra Ott who is a New York based artist and designer. She’s also a Gemini like me! 😊 No wonder I was instantly drawn to her works.
Her use of simple patterns to create beautiful, meaningful and colorful masterpieces is brilliant!
I have recreated on my nails two of her most popular flower works and I enjoyed painting every bit of it!

I went a bit crazy with the colors ! haha. I just wanted to try my hands on the different patterns, the best part is now you see how they look on nails, you can choose which one you would like to wear.

If you would like to recreate this you can use any color of your choice, like I said I just wanted to try different colors to see which combination I like the most. I still can’t decide haha.

Nail art stickers have been saving lives since forever! If you are a nail artist or just a nail art lover and have acquired so much stuff over the years you will agree with me that there are some things you purchased and just never used but you tell yourself that one day you will get to it then be sure you are not alone lol. I got this nail art sticker a couple of years ago from Ali express and i just never got to use it, but I’m glad it has come in handy.

If you are someone that does not like to sit for hours while your nail artist paints the world on your nails or you just want to give your ordinary manicure a new look then nail art stickers are the way to go! They are easy to use and fast also.

I particularly like this nail sticker because it captures a little of what goes on in my mind most times, just a splash of yummy and bright colors.

Lets get right into it.

  1. Apply 2 coats of white polish on all your nails and let it dry completely for about 15-20 minutes.
  2. Using a tweezer remove the design gently from the sticker sheet and place it on the nail starting from one edge to the other then gently press it down. This is to avoid air bubbles.
  3. Repeat this step on all the nails
  4. Cover the nail with 2 coats of clear top coat.

If you do not allow the white polish dry completely the stickers won’t stick properly.

You have to be pretty decisive with the placement of your stickers because the polish will be ruined if you try peeling it off.

You can trim the stickers if you want to reshape them to fit the size of your nail bed.

I was having drinks with my friend Ellen (Shalla Ellen!❤) and we got talking about relationships, I was sharing my experience and then I said “THERE IS NO RELATIONSHIP STATUS CALLED “IN BETWEEN” it just came out at that time it made so much sense she said she wanted to write it down, it made so much sense and it still does even now.

The fact is that it took me a while to realize what I just easily said! I have been privileged to speak to quite a number of women on relationships and marriage and to share my journey and all the Holy Spirit constantly revels to me in this season as am ‘Intentionally waiting’. (We are going to get to that in part II).

I am glad God gave me this blog as a platform to bless others so I have complied in two parts some of the things the Holy Spirit has taught me for this season and I am more than happy to share with you all. Read and be blessed. Also don’t forget to comment, let’s discuss I would love to hear from you on waiting God’s way, if you have any questions concerning this topic or anything else please send me a mail, my contact is in my about page. God bless you❤

They say that the heart chooses who ever it desires… I get that but can I also say that you have the power to teach your heart so it doesn’t lead you into trouble.

Most single men and women would agree with me that there has probably been a time when you were just “chilling” with someone because you both feel something for each other but one of the both parties isn’t quite ready for commitment yet and there is some level of entitlement but no title, but instead of walking away or rather because it would hurt to death to walk away you will rather stay and live in the moment.

There is no crime in been hopeful, positive or patient, but there comes a time when you have to sit back and check yourself, many times you find that you are living in an unending circle of the same thing.

I have but down some phases to help move out of this state. I understand how difficult this may be, it may take days, months even years to finally get out of this no status “status”. I hope these steps help you get there faster.

When I say confrontation I don’t mean like a physical fight, I mean more like a proper adult conversation on the phase of life each party is and if you both are ready to give what either party is asking. If not, then you can be sure you have your answer.

You might feel like a little more trying, nudging or hoping would bring forth a positive outcome, it ok not to give up easily but it is wisdom to know when to back out and accept within yourself that just maybe it’s not the right time or the right person.

This is one of the most important phase, many people avoid phase 1 because they are afraid of this phase, they can’t stomach the reality but you see anything that has a beginning has an end more so if it wasn’t yielding anything profitable. You have to let yourself heal, one major thing that helps me is prayer, the assurance that I have spoken to God about it makes me feel a whole lot better and helps me heal faster because I know I didn’t have the power to change anything so why don’t I just surrender to the God who has the power. It ok to cry if you want to but very quickly like you fell get back up it not the end, its only a means to the beautiful end of your single life.

Look through yourself and try to give your self what you feel you might be missing. Like we all know if you can’t love yourself you cannot properly love someone else. Do things that make you happy and try to fill whatever void you might feel inside. I was listening to a message by Bishop T. D. Jakes and he said one of the mistake singles make is living their lives saying they are looking for their “other half” as they are incomplete, but he said YOU ARE COMPLETE! God made you whole in all areas of your life you don’t need another human to live the best of your life. When your partner come they will “COMPLEMENT YOU”, whatever you have already built for yourself as an individual.

After you feel you have successfully passed these phases we would talk more in Part II in my next blog post.

Thank you for reading.

Hello everyone, welcome again! Hope your week is going great so far.

I would be taking you through some of the nails i do for my clients and what I eventually come up with.

I always tell people that I do not have a favourite colour just because I believe all colours are beautiful and I wear them according to my mood lol.

This polish is called Copper Mine and its from the Molten Metals collection from Barry W. It has a chrome effect with a mirror-shine foil finish. I particularly love this metallic polish because it looks very “grainy” like if you tap it particles of crushed metal would actually fall off! lol that what it looks like when you actually look closely at the bottle or at least that’s what i have in mind head (don’t judge my imaginations lol). Anyway, the illusion of the metallic chrome effect was well captured in this one, I will recommend that every nail polish lover try this.

I always do two coats of any polish i am working with whether pigmented or not because it helps the polish last longer and gives the nail full coverage and then one good layer of topcoat.

I decided to attach an old picture of my client’s nails when she came for her first appointment, because of her profession she didn’t want extensions but also wanted nice nails so i suggested a simple gel manicure as it lasts longer than regular polish, i must say doing a gel manicure on extremely short nails can be a STRUGGLE! lol i had to put that in capital letter because trying to prevent gel from running into the cuticle and the side walls is almost impossible… Anyway we did gel manicure twice after this picture and soon enough her nails had started growing very strong and nice. I also did henna on her fingers.

I recommended that she got an acrylic overlay to protect the length of the nails and here she has just come in for a refill after about 5weeks. I will be doing a blog post on the different nail systems for nails and their dos’ and don’ts soon.

Here i just finished with the cuticle work and refilling ready for polish, so glad we were able to agree on this polish, I’m sure you can tell I love this metallic polish right?

We decided to do a nice nail art on the ring finger to give it some extra jazz and this particular design I really like because it reminds me of a few things, like i said before every nail art tells a story, has a reference or an interpretation. This has two references for me, I’m sure from the title you already have an idea, yes shattered glass, when a glass breaks you can’t tell what shape it would form or how many pieces you are going to have so this nail art depicts that for me. The other interesting one is the tinted glass that is normally used on the walls of Anglican or Catholic churches’ altar that reflects different colours when under direct sunlight always so beautiful and colourful.  Quite exciting isn’t it?

Here is the final look, i hope you like it.
